Featured Ingredients
Can’t have 7-layer dip without 7 layers! Here’s what you need:
- Seasoned sour cream: for the seasoned sour cream, you’ll need taco seasoning and sour cream — easy as that! Weโre using the Fit Foodie Finds Homemade Taco Seasoning but a store bought taco packet will work, too.
- Diced avocado: we’re dicing a whopping 2 avocados and tossing them in fresh lime juice and a pinch of salt to keep them green and bright.
- Refried beans: you’ll need one can.
- Shredded iceberg lettuce: feel free to buy pre-shredded or shred your own.
- Shredded cheddar cheese: love a spicier cheese — go for shredded pepper jack or a taco blend.
- Pico de gallo: any variety will work.
- Sliced black olives: a can of already sliced olives is the way to go.

Top Tips for Perfect 7 Layer Taco Dip
- This is a great mix-and-match recipe. Cheddar cheese can be subbed out for pepper jack, Monterey jack, or your favorite taco cheese.
- Ingredient additions are never a bad idea. Jalapeรฑos, cilantro, bell peppers, and corn could all be added in or used to sub out something you donโt like. End up with more than 7 layers? No problem!
- We would recommend making this immediately before serving. But it can be made up to 1 day in advance if you’re in a time crunch. If that is the case, consider using shredded romaine lettuce as shredded iceberg will wilt faster.
Storage
Transfer this 7 layer taco dip into an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 2 days, although this dip is best prepared and served in the same day.
