How to Make this Dill Pickle Cheese Ball

Combine

Combine the cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and seasonings in a large bowl.

Add

Add the shredded cheese, pickle juice, and pickles and mix.

Form and Refrigerate

Form the cheese ball into the best ball that you can refrigerate to set for 30-60 minutes.

Roll and Serve

Remove the cheese ball from the fridge and re-enforce the ball shape with your hands.

Carefully cover the outside of the cheese ball with freshly minced dill. Serve with your favorite fixings!

This dill pickle cheese ball is made with cream cheese and cheddar cheese along with chopped dill pickles and fresh dill!

Ingredients 

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons 2% plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Lawry’s seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 3 oz. shredded cheddar cheese, ~¾ cup
  • ¾ cup diced dill pickles
  • ¼ cup minced fresh dill

Instructions 

  • In a large bowl add the cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and seasoning. Using an electric mixer, whip the ingredients together until smooth.

  • Next add the pickle juice, cheddar, and pickles. Mix until all the ingredients are combined.

  • Scrape the sides of the bowl into a ball shape and place the cream cheese mixture into the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes (or until the cream cheese ball is firm enough to shape).
  • Remove the cheese ball from the fridge and use a spatula or your hands to form the cream cheese into a perfect ball.
  • Carefully roll the cheese ball in the minced dill so that it is completely covered.

  • Serve with veggies or crackers.

Tips & Notes

  • Use spicy pickles to kick the cheese ball up a notch.

  • To make individual servings, before you form the big ball, use a small scoop or tablespoon to form smaller balls. Then roll in the dill. Serve with pretzel sticks to make an easy walking app.

This was a big hit at our cousins night! I omitted the 1 tbsp of pickle juice because I was afraid it would be too wet and I am glad I did. No picture it went too fast!
