These blackberry Boursin puff pastry twists are a sweet-savory appetizer made with buttery puff pastry, blackberry jam, and Garlic & Fine Herbs Boursin. Four ingredients turn into 16 golden, flaky twists for your holiday appetizer platter.

The blackberry jam brings the sweetness, while the garlicky cheese keeps these firmly on the appetizer table. Serve them before Thanksgiving dinner, bring a platter to a holiday party, or add them to a spread of cheesy appetizers. They’re already filled with jam and cheese, so there’s no dip to make!
Featured Ingredients
- Puff pastry: You’ll need two thawed sheets. One goes underneath the filling and the other goes on top, so every strip has pastry on both sides.
- Blackberry jam: A thin layer adds a sweet berry flavor between the flaky pastry and savory cheese. The photographed version uses seedless blackberry jam.
- Garlic & Fine Herbs Boursin: Half a puck is all you need for the batch. The garlic and herbs are already in the cheese, keeping the ingredient list short.
- Egg: Brush the twists with whisked egg before baking for that golden finish.

A Little Help With The Twisting
Spread the jam over one pastry sheet, then crumble the Boursin over it. Use a knife or fork to break little pieces off the puck instead of crumbling it with your fingers. It’s much less sticky!
Add the second pastry sheet before cutting. You’ll cut the assembled pastry in half, then cut each half into eight strips for 16 total. Twist each strip and leave space between the twists on the baking sheet so they aren’t touching.
Once they’re golden brown, give them the full five-minute cooling time before transferring them to a serving platter.
Serving For The Holidays
Arrange the twists on a platter as a handheld appetizer. The jam and garlic-herb cheese are baked right in, so guests can grab one without scooping or spreading anything.
Building a bigger appetizer spread? Add Boursin chili crunch dip with crackers for a spicy option. If you love the fruit-and-cheese combination, our baked brie with fig jam is another holiday appetizer to try.

Make Ahead And Storage
You can bake the twists ahead of serving and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Refrigerate promptly rather than leaving the platter out for the rest of the party.
To serve, take out the portion you need and let it come to room temperature, or reheat in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes, as directed in the recipe notes. The 35-minute recipe time starts with thawed puff pastry, so plan for thawing separately according to your package instructions.
