Variations and Substitutions
Hawaiian rolls: Dinner rolls could be used in place of the Hawaiian rolls, but they should be the same softness. Ones that are already crispy on the outside could become hard while baking.
Add sauce: These mini turkey sandwiches would taste amazing with a spread of Dijon mustard or Worcestershire sauce.
Lots of sides can be used in this recipe. Leftover cranberry sauce, mashed sweet potatoes, squash, mac and cheese. etc. The total amount should stay around 3 cups. Use whatever you find tasty!
Storage + Freezer Directions
Since the sliders are made from Thanksgiving leftovers, we recommend eating all of them the day they were made. But this will depend on how long the leftovers have been in the fridge before you make them.ย
To freeze, make sure you only freeze the filling, not the Hawaiian rolls. You can store the filling in a freezer-safe, airtight container for up to 3 months.
