This decadent dessert takes only 25 minutes to make, so it’s perfect for the busy holiday season. Just grab your favorite eggnog, some ladyfinger cookies, and a few other ingredients to create this delicious treat.

What’s In Eggnog Tiramisu

You really can’t go wrong this time of year with the great flavor combination of eggnog and rum! But when you add in ladyfingers and mascarpone cheese, you’ve really got something special.

Mascarpone is a creamy Italian cheese that’s the perfect addition to tiramisu because it adds a rich and creamy texture. It’s similar to cream cheese but with a slightly sweeter and less tangy taste. We mixed ours with heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to create a light and fluffy filling for our tiramisu. Seriously, you guys… it’s SO YUMMY.

What You’ll Need to Make It

  • 9×9 baking pan: Make sure you use the right-sized baking pan to ensure that your eggnog tiramisu bakes nice and even.
  • Electric handheld mixer: You’ll need a hand mixer or stand mixer to whip up the mascarpone cream filling.

Variations and Substitutions

If you’re not a fan of rum, you can easily substitute it with another liquor or even leave it out altogether. Bourbon, brandy, or even whiskey would all be great alternatives.

For a non-alcoholic version, you could use more eggnog or coffee in place of the alcohol. Just be sure to adjust the amount of liquid so that your ladyfingers are soaked but not soggy.

If you don’t have mascarpone cheese on hand, you can also use cream cheese in a pinch. It won’t have quite the same flavor profile, but it will still be delicious!

Storage + Freezer Directions

Store any leftover eggnog dessert in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.

We don’t recommend freezing this recipe as the texture of the ladyfingers and mascarpone will get soggy and wet once frozen and thawed.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this delicious eggnog tiramisu on its own as a decadent dessert after a holiday meal, or pair it with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee for an extra special treat. You can also serve it alongside other holiday desserts to create a festive dessert spread. Here are some ideas:
