Mascarpone Frosting
This mascarpone frosting is ultra-rich and creamy and is made from 4 simple ingredients. Enjoy on cupcakes, cakes, cinnamon rolls or cookies!

- 8 oz. mascarpone cheese ~1 cup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- 4.5 cups powdered sugar
Add the mascarpone cheese, vanilla extract, and heavy cream to the bowl of a stand mixer. Mix on low/medium speed until well blended.
Next, add the powdered sugar and mix on low speed until well combined.
Spread on the cake immediately. Or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- We used this recipe for the mascarpone. Feel free to sub for store-bought mascarpone.
- This can be altered in so many ways. Add lemon or orange zest to compliment the cake being frosted. Or sub almond for vanilla extract.
