Method #1: Countertop

  • Remove the packaging from the chilled cream cheese. Place the cream cheese on a plate.
  • Cut the cream cheese into chunks (for faster results) or keep it whole. Let it sit at room temperature for 30-60 minutes until softened to the desired texture.

Method #2: Warm Water

  • Fill a large bowl with warm water.
  • With the sealed packaging still intact, submerge the packaged cream cheese in the bowl of water.
