- 8 oz. cream cheese softened
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 lb. lump crab meat drained (we used this crab meat)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ large white onion minced
- 3 cloves of garlic peeled and minced
- ½ tablespoon Worcestershire
- 2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon - 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning*
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
- Optional: 3 green onions for topping
Preheat the oven to 350ºF and spray an 8x8-inch or a 9x9-inch casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.Â
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and olive oil.
Once the oil is fragrant add the minced onion and cook until translucent, 2-3 minutes.
Add the garlic to the sautéed onion and cook for 1 minute. Set aside once cooked.Â
In a mixing bowl add softened cream cheese, mayo, and sour cream. Mix with a hand mixer until there are no lumps.Â
Add the cajun seasoning, lemon juice, and Worcestershire to the cream cheese mixture and mix until combined.Â
Once the mixture is smooth, fold in 1 cup of cheddar cheese, the sautéed onion and garlic, and crab meat being careful not to break up the crab lumps up too much.Â
Pour the crab mixture into a casserole dish and top with remaining cheddar cheese.Â
Bake for 30 minutes at 350ºF or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.Â
Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving with crackers or bread.Â

- Be cognizant of what cajun seasoning you use. Some cajun seasoning can be very spicy. We used Fit Foodie Finds’ Cajun seasoning and it was a perfect combination of spicy and sweet.Â
- Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or crisp vegetables. Or step it up a notch and take a heaping scoop and load on top of tater tots!
