JalapeƱo Popper Grilled Cheese
This deliciously cheesy jalapeƱo popper grilled cheese recipe comes complete with bacon, sliced cheddar cheese and a jalapeƱo cream cheese spread.

Cream Cheese Spread
- 8 oz. cream cheese softened
- 1 jalapeƱo pepper seeded and minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Sandwich
- 4 slices bacon uncooked
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
- 4 slices white sandwich bread
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
First, microwave the bacon. Line a large, microwave-safe plate with 3 pieces of paper towel. Then, place the bacon on the plate.
Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Carefully flip bacon over and continue microwaving for an additional 3 minutes.
After 6 minutes continue microwaving in increments of 30-60 seconds until your bacon reaches its desired doneness. Set the bacon aside.
Next, make the cream cheese spread. Add the cream cheese, minced jalapƱo, garlic powder, and kosher salt to a bowl and blend using a hand mixer until all ingredients are evenly distributed. Set aside.
Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on each slice of bread.
Next, spread ¼ cup of the jalapeño cream cheese onto the unbuttered side of 1 slice of each sandwich. Layer two slices of cheese and 2 strips of bacon on top of the cream cheese.
Heat a large skillet over medium/high heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve immediately.
- Kick the jalapeƱo cream cheese up a notch and donāt seed the jalapeƱos. This will make a spicier sandwich.
- The leftover cream cheese is great on crackers or bagels.
- You can sub any bread in this recipe.
