- 8 oz. cream cheese room temperature
- ½ cup unsalted butter room temperature (~1 stick)
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Place the cream cheese and butter into the bowl of a stand mixer. Whip together until well blended and fluffy.
Next, add the powdered sugar and vanilla. Starting on low, mix together until well blended. The speed can be increased once most of the sugar has been mixed in. Use immediately.
- Always start the stand or hand mixer on low when incorporating powdered sugar into this recipe. This will help eliminate a powdered sugar cloud.
- This recipe can be made ahead of time. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use. Allow 20-30 minutes to warm to room temperature.
