Tuna Noodle Casserole

Tuna, egg noodles, frozen peas, and cheddar cheese in a delicious mushroom sauce!

What you need:

egg noodles olive oil sliced white mushrooms yellow onion unsalted butter all-purpose flour salt & black pepper garlic powder canned albacore tuna frozen peas cheddar cheese

Prepare

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Preheat oven to 350℉ & prepare a baking dish. Set aside.

Cook

Heat a large pan & add the olive oil. Then add the mushrooms and onions. Cook until the mushrooms shrink & onions are soft and translucent.

Add

Add butter & flour. Roux will cover onions & mushrooms. Cook for 1 min. Add milk, being sure to scrape pan. Add tuna and peas. Fold in noodles.

Serve

Transfer to the baking dish, top with the cheddar cheese, and then the fried onions. Bake for 20 minutes uncovered. Serve immediately.
