Mac and Cheese Soup

Why you'll love it

Crispy on the outside and super cheesy on the inside made with creamy tuna salad!

What you need:

unsalted butter yellow onion all-purpose flour chicken broth heavy cream hot sauce sharp cheddar cheese  salt & pepper elbow macaroni noodles crumbled bacon green onions

Make Roux

Add butter & minced yellow onion to a heated dutch oven. Cook until onions are soft & golden. Add flour to make a roux.

Whisk

Slowly whisk in broth and heavy cream. Continue whisking until all of the lumps are gone. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in hot sauce, salt, and pepper.

Prepare

Next, fold in shredded cheddar cheese. Continue to cook on low for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare noodles, drain & add them to the soup.

Serve

Garnish with bacon crumbles, shredded cheddar cheese, and green onion.
