This recipe takes your classic hamburger and gives it an easy, cheesy makeover!

What you need:

85% ground beef salt ground black pepper American cheese hamburger buns

Season

Season with salt and pepper. Break beef into 8 equal balls. Using your palm, flatten each ball of meat to form patties ¼ inch thick. Set aside.

Fold

Fold slices of cheese into fourths, stack on top of each other. Place cheese onto burger patties. Place another patty on top. Press edges together.

Cook

Preheat skillet for 1-2 minutes to allow pan to heat up. Transfer the burgers onto the pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them.

Serve

Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes. Serve with hamburger buns and other favorite toppings.
