Bechamel Sauce

Learn how to make a creamy, white bechamel sauce recipe with just 3 basic ingredients!

What you need:

unsalted butter all-purpose flour whole milk salt

Heat

Heat a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the butter to the saucepan.

Whisk

When butter is melted, add flour & whisk the two ingredients together to create a roux. Allow the roux to cook for 1-2 minutes.

Drizzle

Slowly drizzle whole milk into pan while whisking. It should thicken within a few minutes and turn into a beautiful bechamel sauce.

Add

Add the salt to the sauce and stir. When the sauce is thick and creamy, remove the sauce from the heat.
