all-purpose flour
heavy whipping cream

Preheat
Preheat the oven to 400โ. Place the sliced potatoes into a 12-inch cast iron skillet. Top the potatoes with the diced ham. Set aside.

Make Roux
Melt butter in a pan then add the flour & whisk together. When roux has cooked, whisk in heavy cream. Cook until the cream has thickened.

Pour
Add in salt, garlic powder, pepper, paprika, & 2 cups of cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Pour mixture over potatoes and ham. Top with remaining cheese.

Serve
Bake for 45 minutes uncovered. Allow the scalloped potatoes to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
